meeting the litter 08/10/08

i guess i should start with a little background. my darling husband is an avid duck hunter and wanted a labrador retriever to, well you guessed it, retrieve. a few of his hunting buddies have labs from a particular kennel so we decided to check out their operation. hubby called and as luck would have it, they had 2 litters of chocolates with puppies available! so on august 10th we headed down to gunning island kennels in south dartmouth, ma to meet the litter of chocolate labs we were to choose from.

as you can see our decision was easy! we put down a deposit and made an appointment to come back in a few weeks.
